Integrating REDD into the Global Climate Protection Regime: Proposals and Implications

Workshop in Tokyo, Japan on 24 June 2008

CIFOR convened a consultative workshop in Tokyo on the 24th June 2008 as part of its research project, Integrating REDD in the Global Climate Protection Regime: Proposals and Implications.  A diverse set of more than 40 stakeholders were engaged in the workshop, including negotiators, research analysts, and NGO representatives.  The purpose of the workshop was to inform the design of the CIFOR’s analytical effort, so as to ensure that it tackles priority areas, is demand driven, and is additional to ongoing analytical initiatives.
