Ari Wibowo

Senior Researcher, Forestry Research and Development Agency, Ministry for the Environment and Forestry, Government of the Republic of Indonesia

Mr Ari Wibowo is a senior researcher in the Center for Socioeconomic Policy and Climate Change Research and Development within the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia. His expertise includes forest fire protection, carbon accounting (MRV) for the land base sector and REDD+. He has been the coordinator of the REDD+ Demonstration Activities project under ITTO in Meru Betiri National Park, a member of Carbon Fund – FCPF Team within the Ministry, a member of a team to prepare the Indonesian Second National Communication, and a reviewer of climate change related activities such as IJ-REDD in West Kalimantan, JCM, REDD in Riau (Tasik Besar Serkap) and RIL in Berau.
