Sunset Boat Cruise

The cruise is part of a collaboration between GLF and Greenpoint Innovations  NYC Waste Management, Broadway Stages and the Newtown Creek Alliance to raise awareness about restoration through climate-focused street art that will be unveiled around the city throughout Climate Week. A hybrid-electric boat will take members of the GLF community as well as other Climate Week and NYC VIPs from Manhattan to Brooklyn’s Newtown Creek, which was once one of the most polluted industrial sites in the U.S. and has now been nurtured back to health through technological and traditional restoration methods. Passing street art murals illustrating the beauty of ecosystem restoration, the cruise will travel up the creek to one of the city’s largest rooftop gardens for cocktails among wildflowers and landing spots for migratory birds before returning back to the city
