Xie Chen is an environmental and resources economist. She has a PhD of Resources and Environmental Economics at Chinese Academy of Social Science and has been a Visiting Scholar at University of Aberdeen in UK (1996-1997). Her research interests include forestry economics and policy, rural livelihood and land use change, PES, social-economic impact assessment of forestry program. She has worked on social-economic impact monitoring and assessment of China’s Key national forestry program of SFA and lead the monitoring of Conversion of Cropland to Forest Program(CCFP) since 2003. She has recently involved research project of forestry employment estimation, China national report on The Non-Legally Binding Instrument on All Types of Forests.
