The Furniture Value Chains project is eventually expected to improve raw material supply and security for more than 15,000 furniture enterprises involving 177,000 jobs, enhance incomes for small-scale producers and give a greater role in the value chains for small-scale producers and their organisations vis-à-vis large scale actors. The impacts are expected within five years. The main adoption pathway is through involving the key actors in action research, where understanding and change are expected to occur simultaneously. The key actors involved in this project are furniture producers, producer organisations, local government agencies, log traders, and tree growers.
