The Consultative Group for International Agricultural Research or CGIAR, is a global multi-stakeholder facility engaged in reducing rural poverty, increasing food security, improving human health and nutrition, as well as ensuring sustainable management of natural resources. CIFOR is a member of the CGIAR consortium, receiving funding from the CGIAR Fund: a multi-donor trust fund administered by the World Bank and governed by the Fund Council, a representative body of funders and other stakeholders. Through the Fund, CGIAR supports CIFOR’s research, capacity-building activities, partnerships for development, and policy development and outreach.
