Ani Adiwinata Nawir is a forestry socio-economics and policy scientist in CIFOR’s Forests and Livelihoods programme. Her research theme focuses on socio-economics and policy aspects of community forestry, particularly the comparative advantages of small-scale forestry plantations and traditional agroforestry management in comparison to other investment alternatives. Nawir aims to understand the interlinkages between local livelihoods and forest industry based activities, as part of forest rehabilitation and restoration initiatives
