The UNFCCC COP20 in Lima is the last major stop on the road to an expected global climate agreement in Paris in 2015. CIFOR scientists will participate in a number of side events during the two weeks of the COP, helping to inform the negotiations by bringing to bear research on such topics as REDD+ and land-use change; carbon sequestration in coastal ecosystems; and the effects of climate change on wildlife in the Amazon.
