Executive Director, Community-Based Forest Management System Working Group Association
Edi Subahani, known as Oeban Hadjo, is currently Executive Director at Community-Based Forest Management System Working Group Association (Perhimpunan Kelompok Kerja Sistem Hutan Kerakyatan/POKKER SHK). He studied at the Faculty of Law, PGRI University, Palangkaraya City, Central Kalimantan and became a member of several organizations advocating for the environment such as the Tahanjungan Tarung Foundation (ITT).
He worked for Wahana Lingkungan Hidup Indonesia (WALHI) Central Kalimantan and was appointed Executive Coordinator of the Community-Based Forest System (Sistem Hutan Kerakyatan/SHK) working group. He was appointed as Regional Council of Central Kalimantan WALHI from 2002 to 2005, and in 2007 was re-appointed to run the POKKER SHK until 2013. Currently he still serves as Executive Director of the Community-Based Forest System Working Group (POKKER SHK) and is actively involved in the Participatory Mapping Service Node of Central Kalimantan (SLP2KT). Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in various environmental advocation, investigation, writing and community facilitation.
