In fact, mostly women in Indonesia plays important role to furniture industries than men. It could be proven as you visit Jepara Regency, Central Java, Indonesia in which 80% wood workers are women. They play role in several activities including trimming, sanding, finishing, packaging and distributing the products. It is like no gender disparity for forestry job but the working safety is provided well.
