Ministry of Forestry Indonesia has encouraged furniture industries to certify the products so that as the industries want to export the products to aboard, the price and value of the products will be in competitiveness. A legality for furniture industry related the above is known as SVLK (Indonesian Legal Wood). Because of this certification, some furniture industries should consider maturely solid woods used to produce furniture products. However, the application and process to make the certification is quite difficult due to high price. Furthermore, from the certification, tropical natural forest could be protected.
