Bangladesh is among the most vulnerable countries to climate change. Also the land to man ratio which is declining with the expanding population is believed to severely affect the resource based livelihoods, mainly in rural communities. Agroforestry interventions, primarily community resource management programs initiated by several development programs, helped the rural communities to ensured fire wood supply, income generation via value based forest species and most importantly a fair degree of security for long term social and ecological resilience. Community members shared that they employ formal (schools) and informal ways (games) to teach their young ones to appreciate the natural capital and become its guardian.
