Teressa Island is amongst the remotest places in India. The grasslands of this Island are hardly known to the world. However, they are bestowed with interesting fauna like Nicobar Bulbul, Yellow-legged Buttonquail and Blue-breasted Quail that are very exclusive to the grasslands. Due to the remoteness these grasslands still remain unexplored by botanists and are believed to be having many plant species that are unknown to science.
