Sunrise over Sharavathi River Basin in Western Ghats

This photo was taken on a early October morning in 2012 from a watch tower in Allanki island in the Sharavathi river basin in the Western Ghats. As the sun was emerging from the hills it cast a golden shine over the river. At that point of time a traditional country boat was crossing the stream steered by two boatmen.
