The biological garden is part of the urban forest in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The forest is almost 40 years old and contains a collection of plants from various regions in Indonesia, like Shorea, Mesua, and Sterculi. This land with an area of 0.5 hectares is an important habitat for birds that are homeless as a result of the urban development in Yogyakarta where natural space becomes increasingly narrow. Also the campus forests have contributed to available oxygen and add to the aesthetic value of the buildings in the chaos in the middle of the city.
