On 3rd and 4th September 2019, Community members from the Water towers project sites in Kenya and Uganda participated in a community exchange visit program in Mt. Kenya region in Kenya. Participants were hosted by two WRUAs (Muringato WRUA and Mburua WRUA) and two CFAs (Muringato CFA and Gathuiru CFA). The themes covered during the exchange visit include governance arrangements for joint forest and water management, rehabilitation of forest and riparian areas, capacity building for joint forest and water management, resource mobilization for implementing management plans and income generating activities to support rehabilitation initiatives.

On 25th October 2018, stakeholders involved in the development of the Itare-Chemosit SCMP including members of the Itare-Chemosit Water Resource Users Association (WRUA), members of the Itare Forest Community Forest Association (CFA), the Water Resources Authority, the Kenya Forest Service, the Bomet County government and other stakeholders came together to launch the finalized SCMP.

On 24th October 2018, stakeholders involved in the revision of the expired PFMP including members of the Londiani Forest Community Forestry Association (CFA), members of the Kipchorian Water Resource Users Association (WRUA), the Kenya Forest, the Water Resources Authority, the Kericho County government and other stakeholders came together to launch and the finalized PFMP.
