We are glad CIFOR is helping us in this sense, producing Doctorates and Masters in forestry and biological sciences, but of course we will still need more, more education and more research. Research is so important in our country and we are happy the project focuses a lot on research, but we also want the research to be producing knowledge, so it brings impact for society and for development, solutions for the problems in the northeast of the DRC. The University of Kisangani should also reinforce governance capacity, modernize it and reinforce the capacity of academic, scientific and administrative personnel.
