HE Samuela Lagataki

Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Fisheries and Forests, Fiji

HE Samuela Lagataki serves as Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Fisheries and Forests, Fiji. He previously held the position of Conservator of Forest as Head of the Forestry Department from 2012-2015. Prior to that, he worked as a Forest Officer since 1993, worked on a Forest Inventory with FAO in Samoa, and has represented Fiji in international forest policy meetings since 2005. He holds a BSc in Forestry from the Australian National University and a Professional Diploma in Business Leadership from USP.
