The Asia-Pacific Rainforest Summit 2016
PHOTO COMPETITION

Congratulations to our winners of the Asia-Pacific Rainforest Photo Competition!

We are pleased to announce Protect Nature from Pakistan by Saeed Anwar as the winner of the Audience’s Choice Award.

Online voters had their say in choosing the winning photograph from a gallery of more than 200 fantastic entries from across the region.

For the Jury’s Choice Award, a jury of three international judges chose as the winners, Honey Hunter from Malaysia by Hasnoor Hussain in first place, and Mentawai shaman and Sago palm from Indonesia by Lukas Pawera in second place.

The jury made their selections based on the outstanding technical and aesthetic quality of the photographs, and their sensitive illustration of the diverse values of the Asia-Pacific’s rainforests.

The top 20 photographs as selected by the jury are now on display in an exhibition at the arrival hall of the Brunei International Airport in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam. The exhibition was viewed by delegates attending the Asia-Pacific Rainforest Summit from 3-5 August, and remained on display until 14 August 2016.

The deadline to vote has now passed.
