The visit to KPHP Kayu Putih will give visitors a look at how kayu putih, also known as gomentol or niaouli, essential oil is made from beginning to end. The tour starts at a kayu putih permanent nursery, where the plant is harvested. The kayu putih is then taken to a distillery to be processed into essential oil and prepared to be sold. The kayu putih project is a prime example of local production forest and a sustainable forest industry.
