Indonesia is very welcoming for foreign visitors, including through free visit visa for citizens from 169 countries, visa on arrival for citizens from 61 countries, and holders of diplomatic and official passport from 43 countries. The rest can apply for visa at the Indonesian Embassy in or accredited to the respective country. For citizens of certain countries there is a more careful visa process called calling visa, but for participants of conferences organized by the Indonesian government the process is easier and can be applied for at the Indonesian Embassy in or accredited to the respective country.
