The forest ecosystem will be meaningless if there are no animals in it. The tropical rainforests of Borneo Island are very fortunate to have a very unique endemic monkey called Proboscis Monkey (Nasalis larvatus). The largest monkey in the world is endemic of Borneo Island, but currently its status is Endangered due to poaching and habitat destruction. It is enjoying a lunch break in one of the remaining mangrove forests in North Kalimantan.
