Peat Swamp Forest

The picture was taken from helicopter during my assignment as journalist in Riau Province, Indonesia on 2017. The location was quite remote and the peat swamp forest is still virgin and preserve. I was amazed that day, because most of the forest in Riau already turned into palm trees and industrial plantation. The peat water in the river is reflecting sunlight in dark purple color.
