Cynthia Maharani serves as a Senior Research Officer on Global Comparative Study on REDD+ at the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR). During her tenure, she builds and engages with boundary partners in Ethiopia, Myanmar, Guyana and Indonesia. Through these strategic partnerships, CIFOR and different entities across continents collaborate in coproducing REDD+ knowledge and derive lessons learned for policymakers on conditions affecting REDD+ performances. Maharani is also part of the Asean Social Forestry and Climate Change Network. In collaboration with Asean Social Forestry Working Groups (AWGSF) and partners, she is involved in the development of the Social Forestry Knowledge Tree, a web-based platform that will serve as knowledge management for social forestry initiatives in Southeast Asia.
