David Loubser has over 30 years experience in the environmental and environmental information arena in Africa, New Zealand, the Pacific and the Middle East. His primary focuses are vulnerabilities, ecosystem-based climate change adaptation, REDD+, forestry, carbon accounting, emissions trading, LULUCF, land use and land cover mapping, landscape ecology and blue carbon. Loubser also served as the climate change program director at the African Wildlife Foundation. He graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in a degree in Ecology and Climate Change and the University of Cape Town with a degree in Spatial Ecology and Landscape Ecology. He is involved in several projects such as SEA and Mitigation Hierarchy, Kilimanjaro to Natron Landscape Climate Vulnerability Assessment, Chyulu Forest REDD+ Project Kenya, Kolo REDD+ Project-Tanzania.
