
Hety Herawati is a researcher with the Climate Change, Energy and Low Carbon Development Team at the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR). She is currently conducting research on dendrochronology. Previously, she did research on tropical forests and mitigation (carbon stock and threat) and adaptation to climate change (related to forest fire), and forest and human health. Prior to joining CIFOR, she worked for the Association of Indonesian Forest Concession Holders on issues related to social forestry and agroforestry, forest biodiversity conservation and forests and climate change mitigation. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Forestry at the Bogor Agricultural University, Bogor, Indonesia and her Master in Agroforestry at Aberdeen University, Aberdeen, United Kingdom.
