As Director of Mitigation of Climate Change at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Indonesia, Emma Rachmawaty is responsible for the coordination of policy formulation and implementation policy, including First NDC Indonesia, REDD+, monitoring of the achievement of pre-2020 voluntary commitment and development of community-based mitigation actions under Climate Village Programme (Proklim). Rachmawaty is also involved in maintaining the development of Safeguard Information System (SIS) REDD+ and preparing for Implementation of Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF) in East Kalimantan and BioCarbon Fund-ISFL in Province of Jambi. She is also a Lead Negotiator for mitigation under UNFCCC and also for the Vienna Convention and Montreal Protocol. She holds a Masters degree in Business Strategy and Environmental Management from University of Bradford, England.
