Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X is the Governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta. He was given the title of Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X in 1988, succeeding his father. Professionally, Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X has served as President Director of PT Punokawan, President Commissioner PG Madukismo, Chairman of Yogyakarta Expert Team of Governor, and People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia. In addition, he is also active in several organizations and held a number of other positions, including Chairman of Kadinda Yogyakarta, Chairman of DPD Golkar Yogyakarta, and Chairman of KONI Yogyakarta. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Gadjah Mada University.
