Ripan joined the Kostajasa Cooperative in 2009 and became one of the management team in 2012. He is responsible for the cooperative’s production and Chain of Custody (COC) Unit. Kostajasa is a farmers’ cooperative that has 159 members in 24 villages in Kebumen district, Central Java. One of Kostajasa’s programs is to tree planting trees on deforested or damaged land due to disasters and logging. The cooperative is committed to plant four trees for every tree cut, prioritizing the plantings to located near logging areas, particularly in villages where landslides happen often.
