
Solichin Manuri is a senior advisor at Daemeter Consulting, based in Bogor. He has more than 15 years of experience in forestry in Indonesia. He has worked for several international donors and organizations for projects related to sustainable forest management, forest fire management, land use planning, forest biomass assessment, peatland mapping using Lidar and greenhouse gas emission accounting. He graduated from the Faculty of Forestry, Bogor Agricultural University. He gained his MSc degree at the Faculty of Forestry and Environmental Sciences of Albert-Ludwig Freiburg University and his PhD degree at Fenner School of Environment and Society of The Australian National University.
At Daemeter, he is responsible for tasks related to forest monitoring, GIS and MRV. He supports several government initiatives related to REDD+, MRV design and standardization of forest carbon accounting and peat land mapping. He also manages some UK-funded projects on the development of risk mapping on deforestation, restoration and forest fires as well as program evaluation related to the avoided deforestation and forest degradation.
